Update: 9:00 pm all roads are open

This morning there has been a incident with wires down. On 212 in pleasant valley.

Please use caution in the area. 212 is closed between pleasant view rd and old Bethlehem.

You are able to access the elementary school from the pleasant view rd side of the incident. When leaving the school you will have to exit the same way you came in.

We will try and keep everyone informed as much as we can. All proper authorities have been contacted and are responding. Unfortunately these things take time.

That's an expensive repair

The folks I really feel for are the Verizon splicing crews,.. stretched out 24g wire is no fun,.. they need to find a point of no damaged which was beyond the orgainal splice point. And nobody going to be happy when working folks go down to make these connections. So everyone be patient with all the utilities making these needed repairs. If you know someone who has had damage from this incident make sure they contact their insurance company and the Springfield Police Department. I'm sure this drivers Insurance company will make things right! This project will not be cheap!

Thank you, Springtown Firefighters, for your hard work- especially in these frigid temperatures!

Thank you for all of your hard work Springtown Volunteer Firefighters!

Thank you Springtown Vol Fire Company for your hard work
